At Emapta, I embraced the opportunity to advance my career as a full-fledged Web Designer. I worked with BeMedia, an Australian firm. I had designed web pages and interfaces before, but this role gave me thorough training in full website design using Photoshop and Illustrator.
My main obstacle was limited web design experience, despite a strong background in graphic design, multimedia, and animation. Starting a specialised role like this came with real pressure.
To prepare for my role at Emapta, I spent two intense weeks immersing myself in best practices for web design. I studied books and tutorials and consulted experienced designers. That preparation let me deliver projects for Australian clients and led to additional animated advertising work.
